I missed the water
First time in a long time I’ve been immersed in water. Even with the plantar pain I still need to do some kind of exercise. So, I went swimming. Felt wonderful. Why do I go so long without swimming?
It was a great workout. I even managed to go the length of the pool underwater on a single breath on one of my laps.
I love water. Being in it is not only a great workout, but it’s also like a form of meditation for me. I feel relaxed and destressed after a hard swim.
Now to hunt down something healthy for dinner.
I kicked butt on my hike up a small mountain, had breakfast with three great friends, then headed to the sea. After that, I come home and on the TV is the surf film “Step Into Liquid.” A most excellent day. It reminds me I’m behind on my surf goal. I need to finally go and buy a board soon.
Yeah. It’s good to live here. Can’t get much more beautiful.
What else to do on a clear, warm SoCal day then walk through the surf.
Hello mother ocean. I don’t visit near enough.
Funny how so many walkers, joggers, and a couple of drivers also stopped just to watch the sunset. It is one of those beautiful bits of nature that draws us to stop for a moment in our day and just experience it.
